With RideFinders, you're never stranded!
Need to leave work early for a family emergency or an illness? Need to work late or have an unexpected schedule change? No problem! If your schedule changes and you miss your regular carpool or vanpool ride home, the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program has you covered. As a RideFinders vanpooler or carpooler you get up to four $125 rides home per year through local taxi or ride-hail services like Uber and Lyft. Registration is free, simply complete your commuter profile and register your carpool. Carpooling is flexible so be sure to register whether you share your commute daily or only on occassion.
Eligibility
To qualify for the GRH, you must be a member of a registered carpool or RideFinders vanpool.
Trips
Eligible commuters can receive up to four (4) one-way GRH rides home per calendar year either by taxi or ride-hail service.
Destinations
Your one-way trip must originate from your workplace or college to qualify.
Limitations
Eligible commuters are responsible for any GRH ride charges exceeding $125 as well as an optional gratuity upon drop off by the ride provider.
How to Obtain a Guaranteed Ride Home
When you register your carpool or join a vanpool, you are automatically enrolled. Simply schedule your ride home using any taxi provider, Uber, Lyft, or ridehail service then submit your paid receipt along with the reason for your emergency to ridefinders@mct.org. RideFinders preferred taxi vouchers may be available for no out-of-pocket cost when your employer has an onsite ETC (Employee Transportation Contact). As soon as you know you’ll need a Guaranteed Ride Home, contact your ETC or RideFinders at (314) 621-7433. Requests should occur as soon as possible after the emergency to be eligible for reimbursement.
