Vanpool Overview

Vans
The RideFinders vanpool fleet consists of 15-passenger vans equipped with standard features such as: Power windows and door locks; AM/FM stereo; cruise control; high capacity front and rear air conditioning; auxiliary heater and rear window defroster.

Insurance
RideFinders provides auto liability insurance coverage at or above statutory minimums for bodily injury and property damage, and uninsured motorist coverage.

Fuel & Wash
RideFinders provides vanpools with fleet cards that the primary and back-up drivers use to purchase fuel and car washes for the van. This fleet card is accepted throughout the St. Louis region and saves vanpools up to 10% on the pump price.

Maintenance
The RideFinders fleet card is also used by the primary drivers to obtain basic preventive maintenance and repairs for the vans. For extensive preventive maintenance and repairs, the primary driver schedules the service with RideFinders and a back-up van is provided.

Reporting
The primary and back-up drivers compile daily vanpool mileage and ridership information in a monthly report that is sent to RideFinders at the end of the month.

Fares
The riders pay a monthly fare that covers the monthly vanpool lease cost based on the vanpool’s monthly mileage, and the monthly vanpool fuel and car wash costs that fluctuate based on the cost of fuel and washes, and the number of fill-ups and washes.
